Taking Care of Your Leather Smartphone Holster July 11 2014

Just as you would take care of your leather sofa or leather jacket, your smartphone leather case needs equal attention and care to keep it in good shape and make it last longer. We’ve gathered a few tips that will help you keep your leather holster in good condition for a long period of time.

#1 If your leather holster gets wet (try not to get it wet in the first place), dry it very slowly. If you rub it rapidly with a cloth to dry, it will alter its chemical structure and your holster will become stiff and crinkly. In the unlikely event of getting the holster steeped, let it dry at room temperature instead of giving it a blow-dry!

#2 If you think that the leather holster feels too dry on your hands, gently rub a leather dressing or cream over it.

#3 It is recommended to handle leather with clean hands but the holster is bound to get dirty – not much of a surprise there. To clean your leather holster, just use a damp cloth – soaps or other chemicals a big no no! Use a good quality leather protection spray to clean dry leather.

#4 Leather stretches outwards, but never back. If you keep a big phone in a medium sized holster, it might lose its shape and design. A better idea is to buy oversized holster for smartphones so that you can easily keep the behemoth sized phones that are in a case!

#5 Although it might not be entirely possible, try keeping the leather holsters away from heat, chemicals, and humidity as much as possible!

Now that you know how to take care of a leather holster, order one (or many) for your smartphone now!
